Bedtime videos

The other night, Sunday actually we were trying to get some photos of Brady and AB took some video of him with the camera.

I know one day I'll look back (sooner than I think I'm sure) and wonder when was he ever that little.  Seems likes the days are long but the months are so short!  But I am loving this phase, he is really starting to kind of show his sweet, little personality and I absolutely love it!  His smile just melts my heart.each.and.every.time.  I've started singing & reading to him several times a day.  He also has started making/blowing bubbles with his drool.

Excuse my annoying voice & singing...mommas will do anything for a smile! :)

And just for fun - a few of the pictures we took.  I know Mimi & Papa will enjoy these!

-unknown but sooo very true

love that sweet boy of mine!

Our weekend

Friday, Brady had a doctors appointment to get his medication straightened out for his reflux.  Which I was so glad I had called & made an appointment earlier in the week because Thursday night, he didn't hardly sleep at all due to reflux & teething.  The hiccups were back, the spitting up, the arching of his back, and you could just tell he was uncomfortable.  We love our pediatrician!  She upped his dosage and gave us several refills so hopefully we can stay out of the dr's office for a while now.

Waiting for the doc to come in to see us.  He is ready for Easter! :)

Afterwards I had some errands to run so we headed off into town.  But first we stopped by Chick-fil-a for some half lemonade, half sweet tea - yum!  Then we made a run into Old Navy, Joann's, & Hancock fabrics.  Brady had his fill of shopping so we headed back home with a stop by Wing Stop to pick up dinner.  They have been going to open for months now & finally opened last week.  I picked up wings for us & we finally made it home around 7pm.  We were both worn out!

Saturday we had big plans for friends to come over to play!  Two girls I taught with were coming over for King Ranch Chicken & just to visit.  I dearly miss all the people I worked with.  I had made some great friends during my time there so I've been trying to make a point to keep in touch with them.  Amy has a little boy that is 6 days older than Brady and so we finally got them together.  We also had the same doctor during our pregnancies.  She is the sweetest & I'm so glad we were able to finally get together.

Matthew thought Eva was so funny!  He just kept giggling at her.  So cute!!

Look at those sweet boys!  Matthew & Brady, just a little over 3 months old.

And Eva is one I've become super close with.  She was essentially my back-bone when I needed strength during school.  Love her to death!  And Brady loves her as well.  She basically just held him the whole time she was here.  She is also having her 2nd baby, due this summer & she is also having a boy!  I am so excited for her!  And can't wait to hold/meet her baby boy!!!  I hope him & Brady turn out to be great friends!
Eva requested king ranch chicken so we had king ranch chicken, salad, and chocolate chip cookies.  It was a nice little lunch.  I had left over french rolls from earlier in the week so I decided to use them to make homemade croutons.  I don't think I'll ever buy store brought croutons ever again!  Homemade ones are so much better & so easy!

It's so great to have friends that are in the same mommy stage that I am.  I'm so thankful for them & that Brady will know have lots of little friends to play with and hopefully we make some great childhood friends.

Sunday, we slept in and didn't make it to church.  I know a terrible habit to start.  But AB was got a day off so we just enjoyed having nothing to do.  We finally got up & had a late lunch and made a family trip to Sam's for a few things.  Brady was being quite the bear too.  I'm guessing it's because he is teething but the last few days he has been super needy.  So I am was so glad AB was home to help me out for the day!  I was trying to get a picture of his beautiful blue eyes in his smocked lamb bubble - well he was having none of it!  Ha!  He makes the funniest faces but if you ask his daddy, they are all mommy faces.  They are kind of blurry because I was trying to take them with my phone in the car.

Ha...I love this one!
Only 3 months old & already refusing to smile!  Ha...gotta love him!  We did take him out behind our house to the field to take his 3 month pictures & we got I think 1 good one so maybe we'll try again this afternoon.

Hope your weekend was as fun as ours! :)

Just take the tractor another round...

my sweet boys
It's planting season around here which means long days.  We don't get to see AB much since he leaves before the sun is up, comes home at dark, and works throughout the weekend.  Last Sunday, he asked if I'd come out & ride with him.  So I said, sure we'd love to come ride the tractor with you.  I loaded B up and we took him and Dandy lunch then took a few rounds on the tractor :)

Brady is learning early...I keep joking that he'll be driving a tractor by the time he is 3.  The boy has no choice but to like tractors & dirt.  The picture above makes me smile, it's like he is holding on to daddy like "everything little thing is gonna be alright!"

Brady ended up falling asleep so we ended up riding for a good hour or so.  Guess B. loved the sound & vibration of the tractor.  I think I'll send him to work with AB during nap time! :)  AB was pretty smitten to have his baby boy there too!
And because pictures just don't capture the moment as well...here are some videos of Brady's 2nd tractor ride but his 1st ride where he's awake!  What sweet daddy/son time spent together!!

It's moments like these that make me wish I could "freeze-frame" time!

Nap time?

I put Brady down this morning for his normal morning nap.  I heard him fuss for a few minutes like he normally does then he got real quiet.  This is also normal.  So I went in to check on him and this is what I saw...the above picture.  Ha!  Silly boy rolled himself over and was just as happy as can be staring towards the window.  Clearly NOT napping!  He was just kicking his legs and smiling - not making a peep.  He has never done this before.  I thought it was too funny.  What a silly little boy!!

He loves that yellow tiger.  And I love his sweet little personality.

Spring Break 2012

*Warning...lots of photos in this post.

Sunday, Brady and I rode back to Houston with my mom.  We were going to spend the first part of spring break with all the cousins.  We were sad to leave daddy behind for the first time but we were happy to spend time with family.
On our way...quick stop @ Whataburger :)
Everyone else didn't get in until Monday afternoon so we spent Monday getting ready for their arrival.  Monday night we all went out to our favorite Italian place for dinner.  Aubrey & Shaylee requested to sit next to Brady so that's we did.  So cute!

Brady slept the entire time in the Moby wrap.  God bless that wrap, ha!

Madyson and Aubrey sat by each other.  Sweet girls.

Pretty girls
After dinner, I needed to frost the cake I made earlier.  Shaylee helped me...she's such a nut!  And let's just say the cake was so good but more on that in a different post.  I will definitely be making it again real soon.

Tuesday morning we all headed to the Galleria for some shopping.  5 adults and 7 kids all under the age of 7, wow!  We ended up eating lunch at Ninfa's and the big kids went for some fun at Build-a-Bear.  Brady and Ace got to cruise the mall, talk about exciting! ;)
On the way to the Galleria

Brady did so great...didn't cry once!  What a sweet boy!
That afternoon, we had a joint birthday party for Maddox & Aubrey.  We enjoyed some cake & then it was time for Brady and I to head back home.

Uncle Casey rocking Brady
Such a little cutie!
Aubrey & Shaylee love holding Brady.  They were so cute asking to hold him or sit by him.  So sweet!

Allen met my mom half way to pick us up!  Daddy was excited to see us! :)  We sure did miss him!  He even brought Reno & Coco along for the ride.

Once we were home, it was back to the usual...laundry, cleaning house, meal planning, & a few play dates.

Three Months

Brady, you are three months.  I can't believe it.  Here is what you are up too...

You wear a size 2 diaper.

You weigh 13lbs.

You are wearing mostly 3 months but some 3-6m clothes.
You still sleep swaddled in your little basket in our room.  But you have started taking your hands out so not sure how much longer we'll swaddle you.

You still wake up 2 times during the night, normally at midnight and 4am.

You nurse about every 3-4 hours.

You have 2 little bottom teeth that are trying to come up.  Sometimes they bother you but it's more just a lot of drooling and biting down on either Sophie or your corn teether.

You normally take 3 naps a day in your crib.  One mid-morning, one after lunch, and another power nap around 6pm.

You take medicine two times a day for reflux.

You have become a completely different baby since we started you on meds, February 27th.  Which makes mommy & daddy so happy now that you feel better!
You are still so very happy and smiley in the mornings.

But you are also very content throughout the day.  You love playing on your play-mat and the day you turned 3 months old, we tried out the jump-a-roo activity thing, which you love!  Before meds this would have been almost impossible!

You have started grabbing onto things , all by yourself and will pull them towards your mouth.

It is getting easier to take you places.  We've gone several play dates and you do great!

You've been to church, to Mimi & Papa's twice, and on your first tractor ride with Daddy and Dandy.

You aren't really a fan of the carseat, unless the car is moving.

You can now track with your eyes.  I often catch you just looking at me from across the room, melts my heart.

You have started to recognize your mommy and daddy.

You love putting your hands/fists in your mouth.  You refuse to take a pacifier so I guess you do this as a way of soothing yourself.

We can't believe how fast you are growing.  We absolutely love every minute with you and love you more and more every day.  We are so blessed to be your mommy & daddy!
