We're Moving!

So it is official...we are moving to San Antonio! Our lease on our apartment in College Station is up on May 31st and Allen starts work June 1st. I am no longer moving to the Taft/Sinton area, we have decided that it is best for me to move to San Antonio so we can be together instead of living apart as originally planned. We still have hopes of moving to South Texas sometime in the future but as of now we will begin the next chapter in our lives in San Antonio, Texas! :)

Life is pretty hectic right now...packing, moving, finishing up the school year, applying for jobs, writing cover letters & resumes, all while trying to juggle the facts of everyday life! I am definitely looking forward to the summer when I have some time to relax & SLEEP IN!!! Haha, the little things in life :) Allen picked up the U-haul yesterday and our apartment is starting to look bare. There are still so many things that need to be packed...it's almost like a never-ending process! We are going to San Antonio this weekend to move all of our stuff into storage (since we currently don't have place to move into) and to look at the RV park in which will be staying at for the summer. Allen's parents have been so gracious to let us "use" their 5th wheel travel trailer to live in while we look for a rent house or apartment. Since we am not sure where I will be working, we want to wait to rent a place so we can find one in a central location for both of us. We are hoping to be able to rent a house so we have extra rooms for all of you to come visit! San Antonio and surrounding areas has so many things to see & do! We will definitely miss Aggieland but are very much ready for a new adventure! Here's to a new start in a new place...

Cell Phone vs. Bible

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go.....hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing.
Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being
disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.

Makes you stop and think where are my priorities? And no dropped calls!

Busy Living Life

Life has been busy, busy, busy! April was an extremely busy month for us - every weekend seemed like there was something going on. April was also a very exciting month! Mom turned the big 5-0!!! Mom is now FIFTY & FABULOUS! We had a surprise party for her on Sunday, April 18th (her actual birthday) at their house - it was a wonderful time and I think Mom really enjoyed it. Us kids all got together & rented a house on Lake Travis for another birthday surprise party the first weekend in May. It was a blast and so great for all us to get together & just have fun! I promise to post photos of all of our festivities soon!

This year has just seemed to fly by! I can not believe it is already the middle of May...where has all the time gone? I guess when you are busy living life, it just seems to slip by. We have one fun and eventful weekend planned. It's so hard to believe it's already here but Allen will graduate TOMORROW (Friday, May 15th) from Texas A&M with his Masters in Landscape Architecture. Words don't even come close to how extremely proud I am of him. He has worked so hard and finally we are seeing the end result. I thought this weekend would never come & it's finally here! I will definitely post photos of my graduate, can't wait to see him walk that stage!

So I'm sure you are all wondering what the next step is for The Blissful Beyer's - well Allen has accepted a position with Jacobs Engineering (the company he interned with last summer) in San Antonio. He will start June 1st. He is very excited about this opportunity and we know it will be great experience for the future. And as for me, I am applying to school districts in the San Antonio/New Braunfels area. We currently have no place to live but we hope to find a rent house soon once we know what area we would like to live. I have recently started packing up our apartment and it is so bittersweet! I am going to miss College Station so very much!! What an amazing journey it has been since I moved to College Station in the summer of 2002. Please pray for us as we go through this process and as I continue to look for a job as well as a place to live. We are very excited about this next step in our lives but also scared...your love, support, and prayers are amazing!
